Team-Teach Courses Designed for Special School Settings
Staff in Special Schools are extremely adept at working with children who have a range of learning disabilities, who can suffer from complex medical conditions and who may display a variety of challenging behaviours.
Challenging behaviour is often the result of a breakdown in communication; Team-Teach training can help staff in Special Schools develop a clearer understanding of why pupils display these behaviours, and can provide the tools and skills to help the child find a more socially acceptable means of communicating their wants and needs.
The training focuses upon a wide range of risk reduction strategies and where reasonable, proportionate and absolutely necessary, safe effective physical interventions.
Team-Teach training within a Special School can offer:
Bespoke training for your Special School developed through consultation and a thorough assessment of your specific requirements
Training for all levels of staff to enable them to support all children, but in particular those children who display communication difficulties, have a specific learning disability (e.g. Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Sensory Impairment, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) or display problematic or challenging behaviours.
