Jackie Starkie, the Principal Trainer at StarkTeach, has 40 years teaching experience including 22 years within the Special Needs sector, working with children and young people who have a wide range of learning disabilities, complex medical needs and challenging behaviour.
Jackie is now a Senior Team-Teach Tutor, delivering a wide range of behaviour training for a variety of settings including schools, youth services and social services.
The training on offer meets government guidelines on health and safety and physical intervention within the workplace and conforms to to the DfES 2013 “Use of reasonable force” - Advice for headteachers, staff and governing bodies.
The training takes place in-house or at suitable local premises, whichever you prefer. It can be provided in whole working days (including weekends), part days or twilights to meet your working requirements.
StarkTeach is fully insured and a licensed provider of Team-Teach courses. References available.
We are the licensed provider of Team-Teach courses for the LEAs of Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire, Blackpool and North Yorkshire.
Team-Teach courses available:
Level 1 (6-hour) Course — aimed at low risk settings
